FAQs

Depends on whether or not you use insurance or EAP benefits for sessions. If your clinician is contracted with your insurance company, we will verify what the benefits are and let you know what the expected out of pocket will be. This typically depends on the plan that you have. If we are not contracted, the self-pay rate is currently $130 for individual sessions and $160 for couples. We also have some pre-licensed therapists on staff who can provide sessions for a discounted rate.

Depends on the therapist. We currently have therapists who accept BCBS, UHC, Cigna, Tricare, and Aetna. Occasionally, mental health benefits are carved out to a different insurance company even if you have medical coverage through an insurance we are contracted with. If that is the case, we are unable to accept insurance for sessions. Your therapist can talk with you about this once the benefits have been verified.

Our current private pay rate per session is $130 for individual counseling and $160 for couples. We have some therapists who offer a sliding scale discount based on some factors, which your therapist can discuss with you. We also have pre-licensed therapists who offer discounted session rates.

Great question! While each therapist can be a bit different, in general we will go over the paperwork that you completed, as well as answer any questions you have about the paperwork. We will also review what confidentiality means, as well as discuss the goals that you would like to work towards. We may ask a few clarifying questions about some answers that were provided in the intake questionnaire.

Great question! While everyone is unique, you can expect to possibly feel a bit more tired than usual. There maybe a few difficult topics that were discussed that can feel emotionally draining, but at the same time provide a sense of relief. Some people even report feeling more motivated.

Please note that we have a 24 hour cancellation policy, meaning we need at least 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled session time that you are unable to attend. There is a late cancellation fee, which is the full private pay cost of the session. This policy is also listed in the practice policies paperwork that every client receives.

Each person is different in what they are processing, learning, needing, etc. Your therapist can go over what to expect, but with a certain amount of flexibility. If you are looking to use EAP benefits, those are typically limited to 6-10 sessions. You are able to use your insurance benefits after that, if needed.

Every client is required to have an up to date credit/debit/HSA/or FSA card on file in their client portal. The card will be charged at the time of service.
